DAN LE SAC VS. SCROOBIUS PIP - "Look For the Woman"

New stuff from the "Thou Shalt Always Kill" guy/s...

I like that he left an origami pig.

I loved the sadness and wisdom of the song, but was initially a bit disappointed with the ending of the video. I thought it would have been far more poignant for the guardian angels to have parted at the end--as if their relationship were contingent on that of their charges. That’s where I thought it was going.

But then I recognized a second possible interpretation--that the angels weren't really angels at all. Rather, the love we make in a relationship exists independently of us, and goes off somewhere to continue on its own after the relationship ends. A comforting and beautiful thought, even if it isn't true.

What I can't figure out, however, is why the song is named after the turtle from POGO.

I think you're really on to something there with your second thought. I too wondered about why the guardian angels didn't mirror those they were watching... your hypothesis that "...the love we make in a relationship exists independently of us, and goes off somewhere to continue on its own after the relationship ends." was a wonderful idea, and makes complete sense. Thanks! Very cool.

well boys there is always wings of desire and angela a to explore the themes further....

perhaps the angel characters might serve as an incarnation of our highest nature, a more evolved and whole self that can find the union hidden by all the distractions spawned of fear and self loathing

and john-paul, why would we ever wish to muddy lovely imaginings with Truth. i choose fiction until reality becomes more appealing or i become a bettter person.

illusion it is!!!!
