PULP - "Mile End"
Very Bowie, very lost.
Here's just the song:
I guess you have to go right down
before you understand just how, how low,
how low a human being can go.
Turn it the fuck up, loud-like.
Labels: '90s memories, trouble

This song was almost solely responsible for Pulp becoming one of my favorite bands. It's one of the most English sounding songs I've ever heard. I haven't listened to it in ages though since my Trainspotting soundtrack is mangled, so thanks for putting it up!

kate - When I first heard it, I thought it was a long-lost Bowie song I had somehow missed. The one line where the lead singer laughs while sing "not just on Friday, but every single other day" sounded exactly like the Thin White Duke. From this song, like you, I also discovered the rest of PULP's stuff...
